Who I am
LandConcept is the practice of Nagy Dániel okleveles építész. Over twenty years of work, I have designed more than a hundred homes, two hundred agricultural buildings and fifty tourism developments. That mix is unusual: most practices work either on houses or at industrial scale. Here the two bodies of experience reinforce each other.
Converting an old press house into a guest house calls for the same thinking as a farm building: you need to understand the function, the structure and the way costs behave. Only the scale differs.

How I work
The site is the first question, not the last
A building works over the long term when it starts from what the plot offers: orientation, terrain, views, and what local regulations permit. I settle these in the first week of design, not once there is a drawing everyone likes that then has to be redrawn.
Predictable cost is part of the design work
Structural choices, spans, roof form and the proportion of openings determine what the building will cost to build and to run. I discuss those decisions at concept stage, while changing them is still cheap.
The simple solution is the harder one
A striking formal idea comes quickly. A well-proportioned mass, a window in the right place and a cleanly resolved junction take more work — but they still look right in twenty years, and they do not leak.
What I do
- One-off family houses, press house conversions and holiday homes.
- Agricultural buildings: machinery sheds, stores, livestock buildings, processing units, farm halls.
- Tourism developments: guest houses, wineries, accommodation and hospitality spaces.
- Lead consultancy: coordinating the engineering disciplines alongside the architectural design.
- Design supervision and professional support during construction.
I work mainly in the Balaton Uplands and the surrounding counties, and elsewhere in Hungary depending on the commission.
